APRIL JOB LISTINGS 04/13 This week we are doing away with the top "News" post always being the Job Listings section. The new "Job Listings" page will be added to the Top Menu section soon (Look for it on the right, next to the F.A.Q. button).

GEC still needs volunteers of all experience levels. Volunteers allow us to keep ticket prices to the public low, and keep us from having to charge the game companies a fee for our services. If you are currently employed at a game company, volunteering can be as easy as being a liaison to your company(passing along updates, working with your HR dept.), or even just writing an technical article to help educate our local talent!

If you are a student or young professional, GEC can use your help getting the word out to your schools, teachers, student clubs & governments. Website management and Programming volunteer positions are available too (see below).

GDC 09 POST-MORTEM (April 19th) 04/?? GEC is proud to present a GDC 09 post-mortem from volunteer Brian Sturm (He promises to have it done by the April 18th weekend). Brian is an audio guy (www.bssounds.com) and although he couldn't afford the $700 Seminar pass that GDC offers, he said he got a lot out of the whole experience. Look for his Post-Mortem post this weekend!

VOLUNTEER WEB DEVELOPER 04/01 GEC needs basic and advanced website help! Basic features would include better tools to allow visitors to purchase groups tickets. We also need secure tools to allow people to enter discount codes.
Advanced features would include adding a basic version of "digg.com" functionality to our website. Such as the function of allowing our customers and GEC members to "digg" or "GEC" educational articles or websites they find, but allow us to approve those referrals for quality before they get posted on our website.
