GEC MISSION STATEMENT:

To help the Washington State game community increase the quality and quantity of the local talent pool through educational events, and help reduce risk associated with the employment process by bringing thousands of face to face networking opportunities to game companies in return for their time and support.
GEC 2009 OBJECTIVE:

For our first year, GEC 2009 will focus on establishing a mutually beneficial environment where game companies can invest their knowledge in the next generation of game developers, and in return for a small amount of their time, game companies get face time with hundreds of job seekers!
GEC is the premiere educational & employment event planning company for the game industry in the State of Washington. We are staffed by game industry professionals who are volunteering our time, not trade show marketers who know nothing about games and are just looking to make a buck off the game community.

Our long term goals are to create low or zero cost opportunities for game companies to invest their knowledge into the employees of tomorrow, and in return GEC will deliver thousands of talented job seekers to game company homepages and to the employment booths of companies that sponsor our events.

We also plan to bring the best in education and employment that the web has to offer, in a simple "one-stop-shop" experience. These benefits, coupled with the fact that every service that GEC offers is determined by the public and the game companies themselves through our quality assurance surveys, means that GEC will maximize everyone's potential without affecting their pocketbook.
