PAX IS OVER - 18,000+ ATTEND 09/02 Pax was a huge success and a lot of local game companies handed out some sweet swag. GEC volunteers handed out some street advertisement to attendees for a special PAX discount. Kotaku held farly in-depth coverage of the event (www.kotaku.com)

PUGET SOUND GAME JOBS 09/07 GEC is now sending out a newsletter that lists every game industry job in Puget Sound that we can find. Instead of searching through all of the game websites and temp agencies sites, you can get our document and save time. This comes free with registration to our 2009 educational job fair. DISCOUNTS FOR SCHOOLS AND GROUPS IN EFFECT! 08/18 GEC is offering the same discount for large groups to student groups of 25+ students. This is a limited time offer extended for the beginning of school. Teachers, college instructors, and parents are encouraged to email gec.bsturm@gmail.com to organize the best deal for your students.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER WEB DEVELOPER 09/14 GEC is looking to add a basic version of "digg.com" functionality to our website. This means we need to parse certain websites for new educational content vs. what we have in our database, creating the aforementioned database, and be able to add more websites to that parsing list easily. The other major function we need is to allow our customers and web visitors to "digg" or "GEC" educational articles or websites they find, but allow us to approve those referrals for quality before they get posted on our website. If you have the skills needed, contact GEC about more details and contract payment options. Click here to volunteer. In return for this service, GEC would like to honor the contributor on our 'About Us' section of the website, give a limited edition GEC volunteer shirt, free admission to GEC 2009, and give them a group of GEC 2009 tickets to give away (6 tickets).
